Feed the Face
This resource is an all time favourite for children of all ages. A fun game that combines hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, focus and perseverance as well as a wide range of numeracy skills. Ants can be placed in the small, medium or large mouth, counted individually to practise 1-1 correspondence, used to practise addition and subtraction. When combined with the maths template the link can be made between concrete objects and the more abstract algorithms. Another fantastic resource that can be used with individuals, with partners or in small group work. It would also make a fantastic barrier game, just imagine the language and descriptive language required here! And I believe even the most reluctant writer could come up with a great story with these provocations.
Contents: 3 faces (mouths of different sizes), ants, tweezers, instruction sheet, maths/number template.
Safety Considerations: This resource is not recommended for children under the age of 3 as it contains small parts.
