Kendra has developed AHA models of service delivery for over thirty years as a Speech Pathologist and Manager of Interprofessional Health Services. She supported the development of several AHA resources for the WA Country Health Service.
Kendra developed this planning tool to support therapists working as sole traders or in small businesses to be able to consider and develop using AHAs within those practices. There continues to be a mind set of simply using students studying to become an Allied Health Progressional as Assistants. While this is a valid approach, Kendra seeks to inspire more long term and creative implementation of Assistant models of care in private practice.
The five elements of Service Design Tool are the critical areas needing to be developed and monitored as you build your Allied Health Assistant roles.

Therapists can access the full AHA Service Design tool workbook and a 50 minute webinar by joining as an AHA member. Membership has been created as an annual access to resources as additional resources will be added to complement the planning tool. Resources soon to be added include
- AHA Progress Note Templates that can be adapted to your specific needs
- Sample AHA Competency Progression Checklists
